So on this day Mummy is finally back with us and thus This blog must come to an end. I know a few people(other than Kath) have been following and date I say...enjoying the blog, so thanks for reading. As a treat i've ordered Kath's favorite Peking Duck from Kings BBQ. Thankfully Kath's flight was slightly delayed allowing us to make it here before the plane landed even after the bee incident
With mere minutes before she lands T4Z complains of a 'bug' in the nasement....of course Rey tried to eat it, winder sge didnt get stung
Only half the garden done, not even, knackered now. I used an app to track km traveled. Hayden and Taryn biked up the road to to thier friend's house while I did that.
Weve done a superb job of keeping the kitchen and other rooms tidy, but today required some final chores before Kath comes home tonight. Mostly the washing. The kids have gotten really good at actually folding and seperating the clothes. Just a couple more batches and some fish finger sandwiches for Minichamps. Suffice it to say after last night's wine fest,I had a vet slow lazy morning. Once again Minecraft 2 floors down in the basement saved me 😆

These bad bois have been cooing in the oven for about 4 hours and are just falling apart. A quick cashed on the bbq for flavor and we're set mmmmm 😋
No real update this morning, omlettes sleeping in, kids playing Terraria, spoke to Kath at length on Skype on her birthday. Ma Ron have me a dishwasher cleaner thing that hopefully help my stinking dishwasher that's on now for the first time so will see. However I though it prudent to share lunch plans. Well dinner, ribs😈. Gping to inject them with Jack Daniels rub with smoke paprika, musts and piri piri from cheeky Nandos. Then coast them in bullseye Hickory bbq sauce....mmmmm lets see
Using nobbies (end of bread) T4Z helped create breadcrums in the food processor. She then mixed in some M areas curry powder, chili powder, salt and pepper. Dip in flour, dip in egg and a final roll in our customised bread crumbs. Now in the oven, that finishes of the remaining chicken from the other day and uses up the useless left over bread. T4Z has been a great help this week, I hope we can keep it up
So... the kids made themselves Pop Tarts, I made some lunch and all was looking good for a final 8am leave of the house. Some minor feeding of the cats a quick chat with Kath on Skype and 8am rolls around. One last duty, give Rey her medicine...could I find her...no. I though she may have escaped as the kids left but I was pretty sure she hasn't...then a hear some 'banter' under Haydens bed...I can't get her to come out which she normally would with some tapping and 'cat sounds', so i pull out some Lego boxes to find her point of interest...a mouse. Hudded around the back leg of the bed it really was a game of cat and mouse, one would go once way, the other would run the other, the post protecting the mouse. I figured it was only a matter of time before the mouse got worn down by attrition so i couldn't leave it. Now I'm all for the cats catching the mice but you don't like to leave them if you can save them...and besides there's no telling what Rey would had ve done with the mouse or where she would have left it's rotting carcus. After 20 minutes of pulling out all the stuff and trading Hayden's room i finally got the blighter, look like it has a busted leg, but all i can do is release it back outside. Let that be a lesson to it
Wow! I Though Captain America: Civil War was great but this new X men blew that out of the water...on a Paar with the first Avengers for me. Taryn said 'I thought I'd be bored' as we walked out of the cinema at 10pm after a long day. She fell asleep almost instantly upon getting in the car, which i think shows how exciting, well paced and interesting it is...and i just carried her to bed, Hayden is still chatting to me about stuff in it.... just fantastic. The fact I saw the first showing a day before official release with my kids makes it even better. This morning started with me wondering who i might invite over for drinks or what i might be able to do to make my birthday special, with no wife around(even though I had a great party on Saturday), but with work buyingme a cake and singing happy birthday, T4Z clearing out the dish washer and Kath reminding me about those gift cards the evening was awesome and my kids were really supportive of it being 'daddy's decision, coz is h his birthday', if this is what happens every 40 years, I can't wait until I'm 80...next time though Kath needs to join in
We are at Swisss Chalet, Kath's winnings from Superstore the other day yielded a gift card, so I'm using it. I feel a bit bad not including her or waiting for her but... she was white water rafting today and yesterday sun bathing by the pool and tonight paying out under the stars at 32 degrees C... while I celebrate my birthday all alone and forgotten at 7 degrees in the reason... so... im using it 😈
Misreable weather so no BBQ, were going out to eat today Swiss Chalet I think followed by X Men :Apocalypse which i didn't even realise was out 😆
In the time it took me to have a dump, T4Z very kindly emptied the sigh washer with no prompting😗
Ok so I'm not making it out by 8am again today. Kaths fault 😆. Rey needs her medicine for her surgery and Kobi needs his eyes done. Got rid of a random wasp in Hayden's room and chatted to K ah about her experience yesterday. By all accords the girls did a great job in thier challenges
Kids seem to love this game at the moment so another few games before bed. Kitchen mopped whilst Hayden ate slowly and finished his homework....a late one because of the poxy Badgers or whatever they were
Chicken chop suey style stir fry with oyster sauce. The kids normally start a riot and have tantrums over stir frys, but of late they've been enjoying oyster sauce on stuff. Also a pineapple and kale smoothie, T4Z actually really likes it... it looks rank
Poxy racoons, those mystical animals, have demolished a bin!...thankfully child labour saves the day again so I can get on with cooking
Didn't get a picture, mneah, but decided to play Ultimate Werewolf that took a couple of goes to get. Ended up playing for well over an hour 😆, but the kids went to bed well at 10...and we WILL make it out on time tomorrow!
The kids were amazing at helping out the groceries away and empty the dishwasher, based on the fact that it was nearly 6 by the time we got in... a simple pizza today. Sorry mummy!!...sadly Kath called at a bad time whilst we were going at it, but nows she's not in wi fi zone so we STILL haven't spoken to her
As yesterday was a holiday, no shops were open, so I've had to head out tonight. Babysitter is being kind enough to drop off the kids here so i don't have to drive back and forth... woot
